Ingredients
  

For Meatballs:

  • 12 oz spaghetti pasta
  • 1 (14 oz) jar marinara sauce
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 Tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan, shredded
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp ground allspice
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • Kosher salt and ground pepper, to taste

Instructions
 

  • Pre-heat the oven to 375°F. Lightly oil a 9 x 9 baking dish with nonstick spray. Set aside.

For Meatballs:

  • To make meatballs, combine beef, pork, egg, Panko, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, allspice and nutmeg. Season with salt and pepper. Using wooden spoon, stir until well blended.
  • Roll meatball mixture into 1 1/2 inch balls, forming up to 20 meatballs.
  • In large stock pot, on medium heat heat olive oil. Add meatballs. Cook meatballs on all sides until well browned about 2-3 minutes. Transfer to plate with paper towels. Set aside.

For Pasta:

  • In another pot, boil water and salt. Cook pasta according to directions until al dente. Drain well and stir in marinara sauce.
  • Add pasta to prepared dish. Top with meatballs and sprinkle with mozzarella. Place into oven. Bake at 375°F for about 15-20 minutes.
  • Serve immediately. Garnish with fresh parsley.
