Baked Spaghetti & Meatballs

Say goodbye to boring spaghetti. Take the regular way of doing spaghetti and meatballs, turn it into this cheesy baked pasta dish. Comes together in 30 minutes in an oven proof skillet.

For Meatballs:
- 12 oz spaghetti pasta
- 1 (14 oz) jar marinara sauce
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 2 Tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup Panko breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup Parmesan, shredded
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp ground allspice
- Pinch of nutmeg
- Kosher salt and ground pepper, to taste
For Meatballs:
To make meatballs, combine beef, pork, egg, Panko, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, allspice and nutmeg. Season with salt and pepper. Using wooden spoon, stir until well blended.
Roll meatball mixture into 1 1/2 inch balls, forming up to 20 meatballs.
In large stock pot, on medium heat heat olive oil. Add meatballs. Cook meatballs on all sides until well browned about 2-3 minutes. Transfer to plate with paper towels. Set aside.
For Pasta:
In another pot, boil water and salt. Cook pasta according to directions until al dente. Drain well and stir in marinara sauce.
Add pasta to prepared dish. Top with meatballs and sprinkle with mozzarella. Place into oven. Bake at 375°F for about 15-20 minutes.
Serve immediately. Garnish with fresh parsley.
