Ingredients
For the Pork Chops & Asparagus:
- 2 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 (8 oz) pork chops, bone-in (about 1-inch thick)
- 1 Tbsp dried sage
- Kosher salt and ground pepper, to taste
- 16 oz asparagus, trimmed
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
For the Apples:
- 2 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 green apples, sliced and not peeled
- 2 Tbsp light brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- Pinch of nutmeg
- 4 Tbsp maple syrup
Instructions
For the Pork Chops & Asparagus:
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Prepare baking sheet and coat it with nonstick spray.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Rub both sides of pork chops with dried sage, Kosher salt and ground pepper, to taste. Add to skillet. Sear both sides for about 3-4 minutes.
- Place pork chops and asparagus on baking sheet. Drizzle olive oil and garlic, season with kosher salt and ground pepper over asparagus.
- Place into oven and bake at 400°F for about 13-14 minutes. Make sure meat reaches the internal temperature of 140°F.
For the Apples:
- In the large skillet, add more butter and melt over medium-high heat. Add apples, light brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and maple syrup. Cook until apples soften and sauce thickens, about 4-5 minutes.
